Following the great success of The Phantom Race, I've been wanting to do another on the same theme with the greats from the closing years of the 20th Century to the beginning of the 21st. When Makybe Diva won her third Melbourne Cup, I knew she had to be the star.
I chose three other Cox Plate winners, Northerly, Octagonal and Sunline, all great champions.
I hope that this painting and it’s limited-edition prints bring pleasure to many people.
Original acrylic on canvas - 120cm x90cm (4ftx 3ft) - $4000
Limited edition print available - image size 36cmx 27cm.
500 fade-resistant prints on acid-free 250gsm paper.
Double matted and framed in a quality timber frame $160.
